PNW 140: Spokane Valley-Rathdrum Prairie Aquifer: Working Toward a Shared View of the Resource
This update highlights research on this aquifer which is used by residents of both WA and ID. The report updates progress in understanding the connectivity between surface and groundwater supplies in Spokane and Kootenai counties. PNW 139: Pacific Northwest Regional Goals, 2008-2012

PNW 138: Ecoregions are More Important than State Boundaries
This update discusses how Idaho, Oregon, and Washington should be divided into two ecoregions. The wet region west of the Cascades and the arid ecoregion of eastern WA, eastern OR, and ID. People in the arid ecoregion are more likely to water thier yards, lawns, gardens, and landscaping in the summer. PNW 137: Residential Yard Water Use
This update provides data from our regional survey on residential water use. Over 83 percent of the region's residents water some part of their yard in the summer. PNW 136: Alaska's "Scoop the Poop" Program Update

PNW 135: 2009 Stormwater Management Video Stream Workshop
This update introduces the 2009 Watershed Issues Video Stream Conference which will emphasize improving stormwater management—one backyard at a time. This update highlights the irrigation water web site developed by Dr. Troy Peters at Washington State University. PNW 132: Idaho CEAP: Monitoring and Erosion Modeling
This update highlights the monitoring and erision modeling progress that has occurred in Idaho's Paradise Creek Watershed in the last four years. This project, led by Dr. Jan Boll at the University of Idaho, is one of only 13 CEAP projects funded nationwide. PNW 131: History of Drinking Water
This update highlights how drinking water has improved over time. Prior to 1880 little was done to improve the safety of drinking water. In 1974 Congress passed the Safe Drinking Water Act to ensure high quality water at the tap. This law is the foundation for safeguarding our drinking water supply.
