PNW 110: Regional Expertise Directories Updated

PNW 109: Growers Make Water Quality a High Priority
This update is based on a grower survey in dryland agricultural areas of eastern Washington and northern Idaho. Over 75 percent of these growers use conservation or no-tillage regularly on their farms. Growers have seen reductions in soil erosion and water quality improvements in their watersheds. Fecal Coliform Bacteria Runoff from Dairy Pastures

PNW 107: National Water Conference Grows – Again!!!
This update covers the National Water Conference held in Savannah, GA in January, 2007. This conference has become the most important annual national conference on water issues. Over 500 people attended this conference which consisted of 340 presented papers and posters. The Pacific Northwest was well represented at this meeting. PNW 106: Graduate Students Conduct Biological Assessments of Streams
This flyer updates the biological monitoring on streams being done by University of Idaho graduate students. To date graduate students majoring in Environmental Science have completed macroinvertebrate assessment in six Idaho watersheds. PNW 105: Targeted Watershed Grants: Pacific Northwest Success Stories
This update announces our sixth annual watershed issues satellite conference which will be held October 17, 2007. This broadcast will highlight three successful watershed projects funded by the EPA in the Pacific Northwest. The three watersheds highlighted include the Clark Fork – Pend Oreille (Idaho), Siuslaw (Oregon), and Skagit (Washington). PNW 104: Urban Water Resources Directory
This update lists urban resource contacts at the five land grant institutions in the Pacific Northwest. Publications appropriate to urban issues are also identified. This update discusses the benefits of watershed education networks. Where implemented in western Washington these networks help prevent the duplication of efforts and more effectively educate citizens. PNW 102: Regional Extension Faculty Training
This update talks about our regional approach to provide training to our county faculty in Alaska (boroughs), Idaho, Oregon, and Washington.
